PRA Health Sciences is looking for an additional Medical Writer for their European Early Clinical Medical Writing Group in Groningen.

     

    The Early Development Services (EDS) division of PRA is a global leader in providing early-phase clinical research and bioanalytical services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.     To extend our Medical Writing team we are looking for a: Medical Writer in Groningen, the Netherlands

     

    In the Medical Writing department in Groningen, the Netherlands, 8 colleagues are closely working together preparing important documents for our Phase I and IIa studies and reporting the clinical study results. Together with 2 Medical Writers located in our office in Berlin, Germany, you will form the European Early Clinical Medical Writing Group within the global PRA Medical Writing Group.

    As our new Medical Writer you should be able to work independently but also in a team. You will work with other areas of expertise within PRA Health Sciences such as our colleagues from Biostatistics and Science. The Medical Writer is involved during the entire process of early phase clinical research, besides this you will be in contact with our clients.

    Responsibilities


    What do you do as a Medical Writer?

    • Write, review and edit clinical study documents like clinical study reports, protocols and informed consent forms
    • Interpret clinical data in the preparation of clinical study reports
    • Serve as primary functional representative on project teams
    • Review all relevant documents and interact with functional leader and project manager to develop a thorough understanding of project timelines

    What do you bring as a Medical Writer?

    • Master degree in a scientific field (e.g. in (bio) medical sciences, life sciences, bio-informatics or comparable direction); a PhD degree is a big preference
    • Proven affinity and experience with writing (scientific) documents
    • You are accurate, analytical and flexible
    • Good communication skills; read, write and speak English and native level Dutch
