The Safety Assistant performs a variety of administrative duties within the business unit Safety and Risk Management, including but not limited to distribution of incoming serious adverse event (SAE) / adverse reaction (AR) information, scanning and photocopying of safety related documents, tracking of safety related information, organizing and maintaining files, preparation of documents and reports, compiling records, and posting information. The Safety Assistant may serve as the primary staff assistant to a department and/or project teams.
Applies considerable knowledge of PRA's policies and procedures.
Applies knowledge of computerized information systems and standard application software (Windows, MS Office).
Applies knowledge of working in electronic document management systems and safety specific tracking systems.
Develops project specific technical and planning documents in own functional area.
Has limited experience in leading and mentoring other team members.
2 – 4 years of related experience.
Ability to gather, recommend and summarize data for reports, to find solutions to various administrative problems, and to prioritize work.
Proven attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials.
Proven ability in establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Read, write and speak English; fluent in host country language.
A high school diploma and/or equivalent.
2 years of experience as administrative assistant in Pharmacovigilance, Medical 2Information or Clinical Development.
