Do you have experience and great affinity with scientific writing? Do you see transforming data into an understandable text as a great challenge? PRA Health Sciences is looking for an additional Medical Writer for their European Early Clinical Medical Writing Group in Groningen.


Early Development Services (EDS) is a division of PRA Health Sciences, focusing on early-phase clinical trials. With clinical operations in several cities across Europe and the United States, we now have an opening for a:


Medical Writer, 32 hours/week and office based in Groningen, the Netherlands


In the Medical Writing department in Groningen, the Netherlands, 7 colleagues are closely working together on the reporting of Phase I and IIa clinical study results. Together with 2 Medical Writers located in our office in Berlin, Germany, you will form the European Early Clinical Medical Writing Group within the global PRA Medical Writing Group. 


What do you do as a Medical Writer?

  • Write, review and edit clinical study documents like clinical study reports, protocols and informed consent forms
  • Interpret clinical data in the preparation of clinical study reports
  • Serve as primary functional representative on project teams
  • Review all relevant documents and interact with functional leader and project manager to develop a thorough understanding of project timelines


What do you bring as a Medical Writer?

  • Master degree in a scientific field (e.g. in (bio) medical sciences, life sciences, bio-informatics or comparable direction); a PhD degree is a big preference
  • Proven affinity and experience with writing (scientific) documents
  • You are accurate and analytical
  • Read, write and speak English and Dutch
  • Able to work on site in the Northern part of the Netherlands
