    Manager of Medical Writing

    Location: can be office-based or home-based 



    Position overview:

    Due to extensive growth in our Medical Writing team we have a unique opportunity for an experienced Manager of Medical Writing to join team. The Manager will provide professional support and development opportunities to a thriving team of junior medical writers. Where necessary the Manager of Medical Writing will be involved in some professional medical writing tasks.


    The Manager of Medical Writing provides expertise in the area of regulatory writing and will have oversight of the team who are primarily responsible for writing and editing patient narratives, and other deliverables as required, including clinical trials disclosures. The Manager demonstrates commercial awareness in order to adjust and adapt quickly to the changes of our dynamic organisation.


    Other tasks will include:


    • Continually assessing the capability and capacity of the team in line with client requirements.
    • Assists the wider leadership team with the development of department procedures and initiatives.
    • Collaborates with other departments to identify, investigate, and implement new business opportunities.
    • Helps provide strategic direction for regulatory writing programs.


    You are:


    An experienced line manager with keen eye for detail, an affinity for inspiring and developing others. You have an adaptable working style with the ability to establish and reset priorities as the need arise.

    • A minimum of a batchelor’s degree in the life sciences (or equivalent experience)
    • Formal people management experience
    • A demonstrated background in communicating complex scientific data, preferably with experience in regulatory writing.


    Ideally, candidates will also have experience in the quality control of regulatory documents and in clinical trials disclosures, although training will be provided.
