Responsibilities

As a Contracts Associate you will be working within a multi-national and dynamic team responsible for the commercial relationship with clinical trials sites. Working to negotiate budgets with our sites, you will be a part of our preferred-provider group within our newly-rebranded Site Commercial Solutions department.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Negotiation and on-going management of clinical trial agreements and budgets with investigative sites. Working directly with staff at investigative sites (hospitals) for follow up and negotiation.
  • Communicate and explain legal/ budgetary issues to internal and external parties per department guidelines and ensure country specific laws and regulations are followed.
  • Review and evaluate client requested contract changes and based upon department guidelines escalate deviations as appropriate.
  • Appraise contracts for completeness and accuracy and ensures adherence to department guidelines; correct documents and file changes to contracts within our internal systems

 

This is a truly global department, with a good deal of interaction with colleagues in other countries. Depending on your specific assignment and your development, this role could grow to a European Lead function or take on a client-facing remit.

Qualifications

You have an adaptable working style with the ability to establish and reset priorities as the need arise.

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a legal discipline ideally, although other educational backgrounds would be considered
  • Experience working in contract administration with an understanding of legally binding agreements and budget negotiation
  • The ability to think logically
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not essential as full training can be provided on this aspect
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
