Overview

At PRA Health Sciences Early Development Services we are expanding our business development team and are looking for high performing Account / Business Development Director to join a passionate and fun sales team.

 

PRA's Early Development Services (EDS) group, is one of the business units within PRA that provides comprehensive full service clinical pharmacology and exploratory clinical research services  as well as Bioanalytical research services. PRA's  research sites and laboratories are located in the United States, The Netherlands and Central Europe. Over 1,000 professionals working from different countries make up PRA's Early Development Services team and work together globally to ensure high quality solutions delivered to our bio pharma clients.

 

An Account/Business Director develops and maintains sales and business relationships with current, prior and prospective PRA clients to establish, first of all, new and secondly repeat business provided by PRA Health Sciences EDS.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and qualifies clients by establishing a sales/business relationship to ensure an active and continuous new and expanded business pipeline that exceeds strategic, long term, annual, and quarterly targeted sales projections
  • Conducts continuous market research to determine potential clinical research projects and new clients
  • Contacts client decision-makers, key management and senior staff to identify, qualify, pursue and close new business opportunities
  • Works with operations management to ensure clear understanding of clients' needs so client expectations are appropriately managed and consistently exceeded
  • Provides information to the proposal team to create a high quality proposal leadership
  • Motivates study teams in developing winning strategies, project plans, client interactions, proposal creation, presentations, closure of sales opportunities, contracts and change orders
  • Provides accurate sales forecasts for coming months and quarters
  • Owns and maintains the Account Plans per PRA's Sales Methodology

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a sales/projectmanagement position in clinical research and preferably with Early Phase Clinical Research
  • Master degree in Pharmaceuticals, (bio)medical or equivalent
  • Reads, writes and speaks fluent English, and ability to speak French. Ability to hold conversations in other European languages such as German or Dutch are a great plus
