Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Oracle Argus Database Specialist to join our Safety Systems Group in our established Drug Safety Department in Mannheim, Germany.

 

As Argus Specialist you will be responsible for 

  • Setup and configuration of ARGUS database including installation and report parameters as well as code-list and validation configuration based upon client needs for enterprises (Argus, ArgusJ)
  • Validation of exercises/test script testing
  • Ensuring proper documentation including SOPs and WIs. Give vision about necessary documentation framework on safety databases.
  • Training of PRA staff on field content and selection option
  • Advising clients on proper database setup according to regulatory guidance and E2B requirements
  • Migration experience from different safety database sources
  • Understanding of ARGUS ORACLE tables and fields
  • Creating individual reports via SQL according to client needs

Qualifications

To be successful in this position you should have a 

  • College degree or equivalent education (Technical / Medical /Science background)
  • Good understanding and interest in technical and IT solutions
  • Advanced working knowledge of safety systems (e.g. AERSTM, ARGUSTM) and other databases (Oracle, SQL)
  • Advanced computer skills including IT knowledge & programming background (e.g. Oracle, MS-SQL, VBA, C#, .NET, MVC, JAVA etc.)
  • Advanced skills in data retrieval e.g. via SQL-Query (e.g. T-SQL, Crystal Reports, Business Objects)
  • Excellent computer skills (Visual Studio, SharePoint, Visio, Project, MS Office, esp. MS EXCEL / ACCESS, SQL query)
  • Drug Safety and regulations experience
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English mandatory)
